Ascot Race Course |
|
The Consultants for the Royal Ascot Racecourse, United Kingdom, Sports Turf Research Institute (STRI) needed to provide more parking areas due to the popularity of the course and only had areas in the middle of the course to utilize for the parking. The construction of a movable track way enabled them to use the area without re-designing the course. STRI found VersiCell ideal for the movable track way due to its consistent, shallow drainage void and high compressive strength. |

Stanford University Medical Center |
|
The architects at Stanford University Hospital, USA, designing a new parking structure for the medical center wanted it built under a park. Originally, the sheer weight of plantings, pedestrian pathways and emergency vehicle access left engineers ready to revert to a heavy gravel layer. The introduction of VersiCell provided a drainage layer with sufficient compressive strength to withstand both the construction equipment, planting and projected traffic over the completely concealed parking structure. |

Punggol Green Roof |
This is an intensive Green Roof installed over a multi-storey car park of a public housing project in Singapore. The project comprises 9 main roofs totaling over 50,000 sq.m. The type of planting and resultant load together with the high rainfall in Singapore imposed on the drainage layer makes this green roof unique. |

Minter Elison Building |
The Minter Ellison Building at Canberra, Australia, is located adjacent to the Australian Federal Parliament and forms a part of the prestigious Parliamentary Triangle in the Australian Capital Territory. Baulderstone Hornibrook who designed and constructed the landmark 3-story plus 2 basement level building specified VersiCell as the sub-surface drainage system that would have the ability to withstand compaction equipment and high backfilling load levels on the 4-metre high basement retaining walls. |
